The Abundant Life

Jesus said, in John 10:10, “I have come that they may have life, and have it abundantly.”

Keep short accounts with God

            1John 1:9 - If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to          cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Die to self

Gal 2:20 - “I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.”

Rom 6:7 - for he who has died is freed from sin.

Rom 6:11 - Even so consider yourselves to be dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus.

Communicate Forgiveness

Col 3:12-13 - So, as those who have been chosen of God, holy and beloved, put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience;  bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, whoever has a complaint against anyone; just as the Lord forgave you, so also should you.

Be content with what you have

Phil 4:11-13 - Not that I speak from want, for I have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I am. I know how to get along with humble means, and I also know how to live in prosperity; in any and every circumstance I have learned the secret of being filled and going hungry, both of having abundance and suffering need.  I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.

Matt 6:33 - “But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”

Prov 3:5-6 -Trust in the LORD with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding.  In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight.

The Abundant Life is a life that is measured and defined by God’s thoughts, rather than by the thoughts of the people around us.  The Abundant Life is one created by and dependent upon God,  not the world.  from Ken Boa
